I Did Want to Marry a Vampire, but now....

So I was creeping on blogs the other day and I found one that I am now a frequent (and by frequent I mean everyday) reader of. The name is www.thepioneerwoman.com and it is amazing. It's about a city girl who marries a cattle rancher. If you go read it beware you will become addicted. The story/section I recommend the most is called Black Heels it's the story of how she met her husband. I read it in one sitting and it seriously took me 2 hours, but I loved every minute of it. I had read the Twilight series the week before school and wanted to marry a vampire and now I want to marry a cattle rancher. I think I could be a small town doc.....

My next new obsession is itunes. My sister Jentri gave me a gift card for my birthday and I have LOVED it. I really love music. I bought the new Sugarland CD (buy it on itunes and not the store, you get 4 extra songs) and I found a group called the Vitamin String Quartet. I know it sounds stupid, but they play really cool rock songs string style. I bought a couple of Linkin Park songs and study to it....it's so cool.

My Dad Loves Buffets and the Hoover Dam!!!

Buffets:
As you can see from some of the pictures I've posted my dad is a skinny man. I'm not sure how he maintains that figure, because he eats like a pig. He loves the all you can eat buffet. We started out to Boulder City to find a place to eat for my birthday and he saw a sign for a buffet so we stopped and ate at the Railroad Pass Casino. It was pretty ghetto. It was steak and shrimp night and my dad ate 3 steaks!!! That man can put it away!!!

The Hoover Dam:
Since I've lived in Las Vegas every time my dad comes here to visit me he proceeds to tell me how he always wants to go to the Hoover Dam, but no one will let him. He goes on and on about the Hoover Dam. Well, after eating at the ghetto casino we drove through cute Boulder City and onto see the Hoover Dam. I've been to there during the day and walked across it, but it was really amazing to see at night. The dam and the new highway bridge that's being built was all lit up and it was a full moon. It was beautiful. Now I'm hoping I don't have to hear any more about how I never will let him go to the Hoover Dam.

My Dad is One Lucky Man!!!

So I told my parents that they should come to Vegas more often, because when they do my dad wins things from drawings. Last August he won a Rolex and wanted to sell it on Ebay except it came with his name engraved on it. He's only worn it a couple times, but when he does everyone thinks it's fake because he's way too cheap to ever buy one. This year he won this lovely washer/dryer pair. It's supposed to be the latest and greatest and wash and dry clothes in 37 minutes. My mom is super stoked about the color and can't wait to decorate the laundry room. He is one lucky man.
